Basic western riding lessons for kids! Riding lessons will be one hour at the rate of $35 per hour. We are now on the vendors list for the Matsu School district and you may be reimbursed for your lessons.
The lessons will be private and cover such things as the correct way to approach the pony, leading and working around the pony safely, mounting and dismounting, position etc. Children who are old enough will be taught about grooming and tacking up.
We will determine when your child is ready to move on to the next step, and will never push a child past what she/he thinks they can handle.
Requirements: Safety Riding Helmet- one will be provided, closed sturdy shoes, long pants to clover the legs while on the pony. We do require parents to sign a Liability release before any lessons will be given.
I have been working with horses for 20 years and started driving horse and buggy tours at the age of 14.
I originally trained and started using my own horse for the tours eventually deciding to keep him as my riding horse and use the companies horses instead. I gave horse and buggy tours off and on for 4 years.
Pony Rides
If you just want your child to have the experience of a horse ride then this could be a great option for you. Pony rides go by the 1/2 hour and cost $2o
Birthday Parties
If you would like to have a birthday party involving ponies give us a call! We have a nice outdoor arena for use. Prices vary, can possibly haul to your location.
